You Tell Me When this “Special Meeting” is happening.

A Special Meeting on November 1, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. of Council taking action on the following matters:

• Affirming all of Council's actions taken at the December 22, 2021, and December 31, 2021, special meetings;

• Enter into maintenance agreements with landowners for the following roads:

1. Carpenter Road;

2. Bucks Falls Road;

3. Leach Creek Road; and

4. Penn Hill Road.

• Enter into an Agreement with Pykus Excavating for construction work with respect to sluice pipes located at Mach Pond on Kellogg Road, Starrucca, Pennsylvania and any/all material necessary to complete the project, and designating the source of funds to be used to pay for that agreement; and

• Authorizing the purchase of the Starrucca Baptist Church property for the purchase price of $75,000.00 under terms and conditions as set forth in a written Agreement of Sale dated December 29, 2021, including authorizing full action to complete said purchase including extending the closing date to complete the sale.

Editorial: Can this crew, who can’t seem to work a calendar or word document and have to run three ads for one (?) be trusted with spending $75,000.00 of the boroughs funds, especially considering the church gave the Borough a discount of $5000.00 already? I think the residents of the borough might want to have a chat with their elected officials (assuming we can figure out when the meeting(s)) are happening and get some clarity on all of this.
