So we had a meeting. specific bills were paid, there was an update on the case, resignations happened (effective Dec 21st @ 9PM, which seems oddly specific) and appointments of new council members.

Motion to approve Meeting Minutes - December 5, 2022

Motion to appoint Jack Downton and Kristin Potter to put together a 2023 Starrucca Borough Budget.

Motion to enter into an agreements) for snow plowing and cindering for the following:

Carpenter Hill Road, Coxton Lake Road, Fairmount Road, Jacobs Ladder Road, Kellogg Road, Leech Creek Road, Penn Hill Road, Stephan Road and Starrucca Borough property located at 352 Starrucca Creek Road, Starrucca PA.

Motion to pay any/all outstanding bills, including for Bugaj/Fischer and/or Preston Township.

Batzel v. Starrucca Borough lawsuit update.

Editorial: As promised last at last weeks regular council meeting by President Darl Haynes the council is having a special meeting this week. In pure Darl fashion it is not what he said, “remaining agenda items” after he questionably adjourned the meeting abruptly. Instead we get the same mess of an agenda with half finished business such as “Resignations and appointments”. Again with the calling out of specific vendors to be paid, especially Bugaj/Fischer since the council authorized 4 bills (or was it three) to be paid just last week. Oh and here is another December classic from president Haynes, approving December meeting minutes in a December special meeting (See Dec 31st, 2021). Finally it’s nice to see that somethings never change, as council will allow public comment AFTER all the business of the council is “completed”, tuned into the public opinion as usual.
